BOXSCORE | CUMULATIVE STATS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Junior midfielder Christopher Löfgren scored four goals and added two assists and senior forward Justin Stevens had three goals and one assist Sunday as Nazareth routed Gallaudet in men's soccer, 11-1.

The game was played at RIT as part of the fifth annual Doug May Tournament. Löfgren's 10 points equaled a school record as did the 11 goals scored overall. Jefferson Dargout amassed 10 points on five goals in a game against Clarkson in 2002. Nazareth also scored 11 goals in a win over Cazenovia in 1999.

Nazareth dominated the foul-filled game from start to finish as the Golden Flyers held a 40-2 advantage in shots. All of Stevens' points came in the first half as the Golden Flyers were building an insurmoutnable 5-0 lead. Freshman Rikesh Lad converted a penalty kick in the sixth minute for the first goal. Then Stevens scored off a pass from Stephen Tychostup about eight minutes later.

Stevens then assisted on the first career goal for Sean Dorman in the 35th minute and then added two more goals before the half expired.

After Gallaudet got its lone goal on a penalty kick, Löfgren went to work for Nazareth. His first goal came directly off a corner kick in the 59th minute. Six minutes after that, he scored off a pass from Chris Mitchell.

Two minutes after that, Lofgren scored off a penalty kick. Goals by Adam Borgus, Greg Blanchard and Löfgren rounded out the Nazareth scoring.

Stevens was named the Most Outstanding Forward of the two-day event. Defender Raymond Touchstone and goalie Ryan Platt also were selected to the all-tournament team.

The victory was Nazareth's first of the season on the heels of a disappointing overtime loss to Hobart Saturday. The Golden Flyers play again Sept. 6 at Oswego at 1 p.m.
