ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's 2007 field hockey team, which won the Empire 8 Conference championship last fall, also gained recognition for its performance in the classroom as several players were named to the ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. In addition, the Golden Flyers were recognized as one of a handful of schools with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

Those named to the National Academic squad were Anne Marie Bernardoni, Emily Conway, Andrea Cusenz, Kelly Flanagan, Sara Heron, Jodee Magistro, Katie May, Kristen McIntyre, Kelly Miranda, Julie Paska, Kaitlyn Reed and Anna Wing. Nazareth's team GPA was 3.32 for the 2007-08 academic year.
