CANTON, N.Y. -- Host St. Lawrence claimed all six singles matches and the three doubles matches to defeat Nazareth 9-0 in the Golden Flyers' final contest of the season Saturday.

Nazareth junior Danielle Carinci won the first game against Chelsea Hubbell 6-4 at fifth singles, but Hubbell rallied to win the last two games by the score of 6-2 in each game. Sophomore Jackeline Martinez dropped the first game of her match 6-1, but forced the Saints' Casey Gilman to win a 7-5 tiebreaker before surrendering the match. Nazareth's doubles team of Rachel Leonard and Martinez challenged the Saints at first doubles, but eventually fell to Kirsten Hannon and Hubbell by the score of 8-5.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Nazareth's third doubles tandem of sophomore #Kelly Noble# and junior #Elizabeth Way# won a pair of matches Friday at the New York Division III Women's Tennis Championships to reach Saturday's semifinals. The Golden Flyers also had four singles players still competing as action resumed Saturday at the Reis Tennis Center at Cornell University.

HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Nazareth is seeded third for this weekend's Empire 8 Conference Tourenament for women's tennis, hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology. The Golden Flyers, 6-2 in regular-season conference matches and 6-4 overall, plays second-seeded RIT in a semifinal match Saturday at 2 p.m. Top-seeded Ithaca plays Stevens in the other semifinal at 10 a.m. Sunday's championship match is at 12 p.m.
