ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior midfielders
Aaron Civalier and
Mark Kanellis will represent Nazareth Friday at the 67th annual USILA North/South Senior all-star games near Boston.
The Division III all-star game will be played Friday at 2 p.m. at Harvard Stadium as part of a tripleheader. The Division I/II all-star game will follow at 4 p.m. and then a Major Lacrosse League game between the Boston Cannons and the Rochester Rattlers will follow at 7 p.m.
Civalier and Kanellis will play for the North team that will be coached by Bill Bjorness of Hartwick with assistance from Gene Peluso of RIT.
Civalier, of Rochester, N.Y. and a graduate of Penfield High School, was the Golden Flyers' leading scorer in 2008 with 52 points on 35 goals and 17 assists. He also was a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star selection.
Kanellis, of Cortland, N.Y. and a graduate of Cortland High School, was the Golden Flyers' top short-stick defender in 2008 and also contributed six goals and two assists. with 35 ground balls.
Senior midfielder
Matt Aloi also was selected as an alternate.
