ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting William Smith won all three doubles matches as well as six singles contests Thursday for a 9-0 non-conference victory over the Golden Flyers in women's tennis action.

Sophomore Jackie Martinez dropped a close three-set match at third singles, falling in a tiebreaker, 10-8. Sophomore Elizabeth Way also lost a close match at fifth singles in a third-set tiebreaker, 10-6. There was another close match at first doubles where the tandem of Martinez and Rachel Leonard lost 9-7.

Nazareth competes again Saturday at St. Lawrence.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Nazareth's third doubles tandem of sophomore #Kelly Noble# and junior #Elizabeth Way# won a pair of matches Friday at the New York Division III Women's Tennis Championships to reach Saturday's semifinals. The Golden Flyers also had four singles players still competing as action resumed Saturday at the Reis Tennis Center at Cornell University.

HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Nazareth is seeded third for this weekend's Empire 8 Conference Tourenament for women's tennis, hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology. The Golden Flyers, 6-2 in regular-season conference matches and 6-4 overall, plays second-seeded RIT in a semifinal match Saturday at 2 p.m. Top-seeded Ithaca plays Stevens in the other semifinal at 10 a.m. Sunday's championship match is at 12 p.m.
