The Golden Flyers defeated Lancaster Bible by scores of 30-22, 30-18, 30-26 and followed that with a sweep of SUNYIT by scores of 30-25, 30-14, 30-14.
In the first match, junior
Chris DeHority had team highs in kills (16) and digs (7) to lead the Golden Flyers, ranked fifth nationally in Division III. Junior setter
Frank Leahy had 22 assists and sophomore
Kevin Kirchhoff had 18 assists. As a team, Nazareth posted a fine .388 hitting percentage.
Against SUNYIT, the Golden Flyers defeated the Wildcats for the second time this season as senior
Tom Maving blasted 15 kills and junior
Joe Petzoldt had 11 to go with nine digs. Junior
Ryan Johnsen added nine kills and Leahy amassed 34 assists.
Nazareth, now 18-4 overall, visits Medaille Tuesday at 7 p.m.
