Hans Schroeder banged out a career-best 16 kills and sophomore
Kevin Kirchhoff amassed 45 assists Thursday as visiting Nazareth posted a three-game sweep of Hilbert in men's volleyball action. Scores were 30-17, 30-21, 30-24.
Nazareth, ranked sixth nationally in Division III won for the 10th time in its last 11 matches and improved to 24-5 overall.
Schroeder also had three service aces and just one hitting error in 25 attempts for a .600 hitting percentage. Nazareth overall had a .536 hitting percentage on 55 kills and just 10 hitting errors in 84 attempts.
Junior
Chris DeHority contributed 11 kills and seven digs and sophomore
Brian Bunch added seven kills.
Nazareth is off until March 25 when the Golden Flyers travel to Medaille for the final regular-season match against Quincy College of Illinois. Nazareth visits Eastern Mennonite March 28-29 for the NECVA Western Division cross-over in which the Golden Flyers will play EMU, Villa Julie and Philadelphia Biblical.
