ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth defeated visiting Medaille in three games 30-25, 30-18, 30-22 in a men's volleyball match Tuesday. Senior Tom Maving led the Golden Flyers with 10 kills while senior Kellen Gambeski added nine kills in addition to four solo blocks and three assisted blocks.

Nazareth improves to 8-2 following its victory while Medaille drops to 4-4 overall.

In addition to the kills from Maving and Gambeski, junior Joe Petzoldt contributed seven kills and juniors Kelvin Rolle and Ryan Johnsen each added three kills. Junior setter Frank Leahy led Nazareth with a team-high 32 assists. Senior Adam DiCicco recorded six digs while junior Chris DeHority and Petzoldt added five digs a piece.

Darek Przybyl recorded a match-high 11 kills for the Mavericks followed by Ryan Murdie with eight. Drew Lewandowski had a match-high 33 assists. Lewandowski and Przybyl each recorded six digs for Medaille.

The Golden Flyers are in action again February 8th and 9th when they host the Nazareth Invitational. Matches begin at 2 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday
