Lizzie Barlow recorded a game-high 14 points to lead the Golden Flyers to a 69-39 victory over visiting Sage Colleges in a non-conference women's basketball game. Freshman
Brittany Wilson also added nine points and tallied a game-high 10 rebounds for Nazareth.
After beginning the contest with a 3-0 deficit, the Golden Flyers went on a 13-0 scoring run to take control of the contest. Barlow recorded six points during the run, which included a three-pointer from junior
Kelly Dunne and was capped by a two-point basket by sophomore
Mary Holland.
The Gators cut the Golden Flyers' lead to five points at the 13:01 mark of the first half, but Nazareth soon stretched its lead to 17 points at the following a three-pointer from freshman
Katie Kollar. The Golden Flyers finished the first half with a 9-0 scoring run to take a 40-20 lead at halftime. Freshman
Amber Leonard tallied five of Nazareth's nine points in the closing minutes of the half.
The Golden Flyers continued to build their lead through the second half, stretching their advantage to 30 points at the 7:58 mark following a jumper by freshman
Brittany Tallchief. Sage connected on consecutive baskets cut its deficit to 25 points, but Nazareth quickly answered with a baskets from sophomore

Brianne Raes to take its largest lead of the game, 65-34.
In addition to the points from Barlow and Wilson, freshman
Ashley Gallagher finished with eight points followed by six points from Tallchief, who also grabbed eight rebounds. Dunne, Holland, and Leonard each contributed five points.
Elizabeth Donk and Kelley Barnes each had eight points for Sage. Nazareth held a 52-36 advantage in rebounds and forced the Gators into making 22 turnovers.
The Golden Flyers travel to William Smith and Buffalo State for non-conference games before hosting RIT December 6th in their first conference contest of the season.
