MENDON, N.Y. -- Just two strokes separated the top three teams Monday at the Nazareth Fall Shoot-Out for men's golf, played on Mendon Country Club's par-72 layout. Allegheny won the two-day event with a team score of 612. St. John Fisher was one stroke back at 613 and Susquehanna was next at 614.
Washington & Jefferson finished in fourth place at 622, followed by Nazareth at 661. Susquehanna's Nick Paone won medalist honors with rounds of 75 and 72 for a two-day total of 147. That was one shot better than Fisher's Justin Tyo, who posted identical rounds of 74 for a 148 total.
Allegheny had a two-stroke lead over Washington & Jefferson (302 to 304) after Sunday's first round that was contested at Ravenwood Country Club.
Allegheny had two players tied for fourth place individually in Christian Goetz and Kevin Caja, each with two-day totals of 152. Fisher's John Gerber finished third with a 151 total. Brad Cieslinski was the top finisher for W&J with a 154 total.

Josh Maxwell was Nazareth's low scorer, finishing in 18th place with rounds of 82 and 79 for a 161 total. Freshman
Colin Doran was next in 21st place (80-84 -- 164), followed by senior
Matt Dalton in 22nd place (84-82 -- 166). Sophomore
Ben Herrmann (82-90 -- 172) and graduate student
Mark Chambers (84-88 -- 172) also competed.
