ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Junior
Kate Zwickl earned Tournament MVP honors as she recorded 49 assists and 10 digs to lead the Golden Flyers to a four-set victory (25-12, 20-25, 25-19, 25-22) over Ithaca at the Nazareth Invitational.
With the victory, Nazareth finished the Invitational with a 4-0 record and improves to 17-6 overall. Ithaca's record fell to 1-3 in the Tournament and 11-12 overall following the loss.

Katelynn Reed, who was named to the all-tournament team, recorded a match-high 14 kills and added three service aces. Senior

Emily Payne each contributed 11 kills to the Golden Flyers' balanced attack. Junior
Mallorie Clary amassed a match-high 26 digs while junior
Natasha Villane tallied four service aces.
Ithaca's Jen Heberton finished with a team-high eight kills while Rachel Busch finished with seven kills. Corinna Doctor recorded 14 assists and 10 digs while Karin Edsall and Tina Orlandini each added 18 digs for the Bombers.
In the match against RIT, Zwickl recorded a match-high 37 assists and four service aces to lead the Golden Flyers to a three-set (25-23, 25-20, 25-19) victory over the Tigers.
RIT dropped to 11-14 overall and 2-1 in the Invitational following its loss to Nazareth.
Reed had a match-high 12 kills followed by Persico with 11 kills. Clary amassed 10 digs while Vanderstyne and Zwickl added six digs. Payne also played strong as she finished with four kills and a team-high four blocks.
RIT was led by Vic Petko and Heidi Little who recorded nine and eight kills respectively. Nichole Boxler finished with 27 assists while Dani Liesman had a team-high seven digs. Laura Mooney finished with a match-high five blocks.
The Golden Flyers host Keuka in their next match on Wednesday.
