ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting St. Lawrence used a pair of second-half goals Saturday to outscore Nazareth in women's soccer, 3-1, in a non-conference game at Golden Flyer Stadium.
The Saints improved to 8-1-2 overall, while Nazareth fell to 7-4. The Golden Flyers resume their Empire 8 Conference schedule next weekend with home games against Hartwick Saturday at 1 p.m. and Stevens Sunday at 1 p.m.
Tied 1-1 at halftime, St. Lawrence got the go-ahead score from junior Megan Howard in the 71st minute as her shot from the left wing eluded Nazareth goalkeeper
Polly Muehlenkamp. Elena Rogers assisted. The Saints scored again in the 83rd minute as junior Lauren Annaldo headed in a pass from sophomore Nicky Hynes.
St. Lawrence took a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute when junior Stanzi McGlynn blasted a 20-yard shot from the top of the box past Nazareth sophomore
