ITHACA, N.Y. -- Junior Greg Blanchard scored for Nazareth in the 53rd minute Saturday to enable the Golden Flyers in gain a 1-1 tie against Ithaca in an Empire 8 Conference men's soccer game. Nazareth is 3-6-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the Empire 8. Ithaca is 6-1-1 overall, including 1-0-1 in conference games.

Blanchard's goal, his second of the season, came on a header into the far left side of the goal over the outstretched hands of Ithaca goalie Andy Wilhelm.

The Bombers took a 1-0 lead at the 12-minute mark on a goal by Jeff Geyer. Each team had three shots in overtime. Nazareth keeper Trey Barresi, making his first start of the season, had six saves overall, including two in the overtime. Wilhem finished with three saves for Ithaca.
