WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Sophomore
Michelle Van Slyke posted back to back scores of 84 over the weekend to pace the Nazareth women's golf team to a seventh-place finish at the Williams Fall Classic.
Van Slyke finished in a tie for 22nd place individually as Nazareth had team scores of 359 and 355 for a two-day total of 714. Middlebury won the team title with a two-day total of 642. St. Lawrence (654), Mt. Holyoke (657), Williams (657), Amherst (660) and Holy Cross (710) also finished in front of the Golden Flyers, who were competing at Taconic Golf Club.
Other Nazareth individual competitors were junior
Meaghan Hardy, who placed 38th with rounds of 90 and 89 for a 179 total. Freshman
Melissa Ciociolo was next in 40th place with 88 and 93 for a 181 total. Sophomroe
Kayce Wagner (97-89 -- 186), junior
Kate Holland (99-94 -- 193) and freshman
Jackie Scalera (105-90 -- 195) also competed for the Golden Flyers.
