FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia's Ryan O'Donnell scored three goals Tuesday to lift the host Blue Devils to a 4-0 non-conference victory over Nazareth in men's soccer.

Now 3-6-1 overall, the Golden Flyers have lost their last two games and look to regroup for key Empire 8 Conference games this weekend at Ithaca and Elmira. Fredonia improved to 6-4 overall.

"I thought we would be OK even after they scored the first two goals," said Nazareth Coach Danny Gilbertson. "Then when they scored the third goal it seemed to deflate us."

O'Donnell scored twice in the first half to give the Blue Devils a commanding advantage. Nazareth surrendered the third and fourth goals within the first 12 minutes of the second half to provide the four-goal margin.

Fredonia had a 21-10 advantage in shots. Nazareth goalkeeper Ryan Platt made three saves.

Nazareth plays Ithaca Saturday at 1 p.m. and Elmira Sunday at 12 p.m.
