BOXSCORE l CUMULATIVE STATS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Golden Flyers suffered their first defeat in women's soccer Thursday as they fell to host Brockport 1-0 in a non-conference game. Nazareth's record drops to 2-1 while the Eagles remain undefeated at 3-0.

Brockport broke the scoreless tie in the 22nd minute when Michelle Gibaud crossed the ball to Jill Neidlinger who beat Nazareth's freshman goalie Hillary Simon. Neidlinger's goal was the only scoring Brockport needed as Steph Kowell made seven saves to record her third shutout of the season.

Simon kept Nazareth close by making seven saves herself, including five in the second half.

The Golden Flyers held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks and a 20-15 edge in shots, including four shots each from freshmen Meghan Finn and Erica Conte, but they were unable to take advantage of their opportunities.

Nazareth returns home for its next contest, a non-conference game against Cortland on Saturday, September 8th at 3 p.m
