ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting Rochester scored twice in the first half Tuesday and went on to take a 2-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over Nazareth.

The Yellowjackets boosted their overall record to 4-2-1, while the Golden Flyers fell to 2-3-2 overall.

Junior Sean Hantes (Gates Chili HS/Rochester, NY) scored the game-winning goal less than four minutes into the game when he one-touched a pass from Bobby Milenovici (Holy Cross HS/Flushing, NY) into the goal. Then in the 29th minute, sophomore Cliff White (Lakeland HS/Lakeland, FL) slipped past the Nazareth defense and beat Nazareth goalie Trey Barresi (Lansing HS/Lansing, NY) to give UR a commanding 2-0 advantage.

The Yellowjackets enjoyed a sizeable 21-6 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore goalies Michael Peacock (Pittsford Sutherland HS/Rochester, NY) and Brandon Campbell (Don Bosco Prep/Suffern, NY) each played half the game to combine for the shutout. Barresi finished with a season-high 11 saves for the Golden Flyers.

Nazareth opens its Empire 8 Conference schedule Saturday at St. John Fisher at 7 p.m.
