A former standout player at SUNY Cortland, Brittany Cohen joined the Nazareth women's basketball staff as an assistant coach for the 2014-15 season.
A native of Fayetteville, N.Y., Cohen was twice named Player of the Year in the State University of New York Athletic Conference while playing for Cortland. She also twice earned first-team all-conference honors and honorable mention All-American recognition from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. She led the Red Dragons in scoring for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
Cohen also played one season at Onondaga Community College and earned third-team All-American honors there while leading the team to a runner-up finish in the national tournament.
Cohen graduated summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA from Cortland with a degree in Kinesiology. She spent the 2012-13 season as a graduate assistant at LeMoyne and the 2013-14 season as a high school assistant at Jamesville-DeWitt and helped the team to a runner-up finish in the state tournament for Class A.
Cohen played scholastically at J-D, where she scored more than 1,000 career points and was a three-time Onondaga League all-star.
