The Nazareth College Athletic Department will strive to empower its student-athletes to grow as people and make a positive impact on society, with life-skills development, mentoring, and leadership opportunities through competitive and cooperative experiences.

NAZARETH COLLEGE ATHLETIC DEPT. PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
The Athletic Department is committed to assisting in the college's mission of educating students with a goal of fostering lifelong commitment to intellectual, ethical, and aesthetic values. The Athletic Department will operate under firm institutional control of the college and will always place the health and welfare of the student-athletes, coaches and staff first in decisions regarding the athletics program. The department will operate under the NCAA Division III philosophy, in which [where] academics are the student's first priority and sportsmanship, fair play, diversity and ethical conduct are constantly taught and promoted.
