BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Sophomore Kelly Flanagan (Fairport, NY) scored the game-winning goal on a breakaway 11 minutes into the first overtime period Tuesday to lift visiting Nazareth to a 3-2 victory over Brockport in women's field hockey.

The non-conference victory was the fourth straight for the Golden Flyers, who have already equaled their 2006 win total as they improved to 5-2 overall.  Brockport fell to 4-5 overall.

Flanagan also scored for Nazareth in the first half off an assist from Keri Ross (Webster Schroeder HS/Webster, NY), but Brockport answered with two goals -- one in the first half and one early in the second -- to take a 2-1 advantage. Nazareth tied the score on a goal by senior Jodee Magistro (Port Jefferson Station, NY) with just over eight minute left in regulation.

Flanagan had six of Nazareth's 12 shots in the game. Brockport had 19 shots and had a 17-8 advantage in penalty corners. Junior Katie May (Irondequoit HS/Rochester, NY) started in goal for the Golden Flyers and made eight saves while yielding both Brockport goals. Freshman Kelsey Evans (Penfield HS/Penfield, NY) played the final 31 minutes, including the overtime, and shut Brockport out the rest of the way on four saves.

Nazareth returns to action Saturday for an Empire 8 Conference matchup with Hartwick at home at 12 p.m.
